LUCOM develops osteopathic physicians in an explicitly Christian environment and evaluates academic ability, knowledge of and commitment to osteopathic tenets, community service, professionalism, communication skills and personal integrity. It states that applicants should demonstrate a humanitarian, service mentality through involvement in outreach and service events and that personal values should be compatible with the Christian mission and environment of Liberty University.
